Well we've made another long distance move for Jake's job...seriously when will the moving end already? When can I just be in my home for a year straight & enjoy my "revamps" & my new things? *Rewind I guess I have those things due to the job. Anyways I get to complain cause I want to... So where was I? I finally start getting comfortable again & it's time to leave. [insert sad face] I do appreciate Jake's work ethic and all his hard work to give us all the things we have. Well anywho I know your all just dying with anticipation if you have no idea where I moved yet...Denver...it's good so far, lots of close stores ...our apartments are actually nice for once. Dax has his own room for once...he usually sleeps in the closet for the summers in a play yard, I swear its not child abuse ...I don't think it is at least. Anyways Dax is in a big boy bed now (a.k.a twin mattress on the floor) & so the last couple mornings I have been waking up at 6:30am with him poking me in the eye, then saying "Buzz" meaning he wants to watch Toy Story. How do I get him to stop? He can open all doors which doesn't keep him contained at all. We were going to put him in a portable play yard...But NO this child can tip one over... I don't know what to do it's ruining my street credit/ bragging rights that we sleep in till 9:30 or later! Oh and we have to lay with him to fall asleep super sick of that too...so if you have any advice or any places I "have to" visit in Denver, do share
SO what do people think of Dax's pimp hat? At first I was in Love then unsure...now I am in love again :) It's by knuckleheads for those of you dying to run & get it.

Serious Monkey how do I confine him for sleep already?

oh it's official I hate flash on SLR cameras...ruins my life

the flash gives me hives.
that's all i have to say, LOL.
I didn't realize you were moving! Denver is a really nice city, though.
denver is a nice change of scenery!! how are we supposed to have a play date now?!
dax is so freakin' cute. i love the hat...and i especially love the last picture. i can't believe he can really do that!
I'm so tempted to drive to you and visit. I haven't been to Denver but want to!
My brother and his wife, who have a very rambunctious toddler as well do this: They put those white child-proof plastic things on the door and when it's bed time, they take him in there, do whatever routine, have a night light, and then shut the door. If the kid doesn't want to go to sleep he get's up and plays with his toys, but when he get's tired again he goes and lays down and falls asleep on his bed. Sometimes they go in and check and put covers on him because he is all over that little bed of his. If Dax isn't used to anything like that, it would take some time to work. Unless he knows how to open those childproof doorknob things.
Well, it's an idea! :) And can't you choose to turn off the flash???
Andrea- Well we should do a playdate I will be back in May sometime for a week or so
Whitfriend- ya we do the whole bedtime routine night light & all. I need to find childproof locks for his door I wonder if they have them? I can turn off the flash I just always forget for some reason :)
what a little ham! love his hat!
Your little Dax is so cute. I love the hat. Good luck in Denver. I have never been there. Which is weird because I grew up so close to it.
what the heck, I havent seen any of these posts... they are adorable! I like the pimp hat. Casey refuses to use flash, he hates it too.
