This post is long overdue, My laptop with all the pictures from Dax being born is not working & I've been dying to post about him turning 1, but I CAN'T wait any longer even if I dont have my favorite newborn pics. So here goes...
Daxton turned 1 on September 7th & he is such a joy to our lives & has brought a whole new perspective to our world. He is amazing, he is always teaching us & is always surprising us. Even when he was born he surprised us, blonde hair & blue eyes?!? He is half Mexican, come on! :) He has always been happy & VERY active, yet always makes time to give hugs & kisses all on his own. He has so much energy & I can't wait to see what he does with all of it in his future. His Daddy & him are best friends & love to rough house every second together, I'm pretty sure I'm the runner up for Dax's BFF :( I guess I'm just not as fun as Daddy. Dax has grown a ton, he started out 8lbs 7 oz 22inches long, he was a big boy, NOW he is 22lbs even & 30 1/2inches long. We can't believe a year has gone by, they always say it goes quick, & I've never believed anyone, finally I am a believer it does! I am so grateful Jake sacrifices for us & works so hard, just so I can stay home with Dax. I love to spend the days with him trying to wear him out BUT he always seems to turn the tables on me. His favorite word is "wow", he is always drumming on things with his drumsticks or he finds real ones around the house, it's so cute he will squat & drum on the carpet super fast, I think he could be a drummer someday! My predictions for Daxton is that he will be a very affectionate yet masculine, determined, independent young man...I think whatever he does with his future will be something that takes a lot of energy & displays his fearlessness...

What a special post Vic! I teared up a bit! It's so crazy that you every lived your life without that little guy huh? Dax is so special and I feel so lucky to be a part of his life! We love you guys!! Miss ya!

I have a friend who does the side sweep on her little boy, and it makes him look 80.

I can't beleive that our little ones are that old! It goes so fast for sure! He is so handsome and smart! Happy Birthday Dax!

Anywhoo, I said something like "Yeah I can't believe it's been a whole year! And I think its funny that you mentioned he will be very affectionate, YET MASCULINE man. Hahaha. (Because there's somewhat of an inside joke there, right?! We like our boys masculine...) But thats definitely him, sweet little hugs and kisses, but a mans man to the T.
And I also said something like i'm happy that the little blankies I got him are showcased in a couple of those pictures.
Well peace nig. John and I are taking Alex to the circus tonight. Be jealous!

The last year has just flown by, hasn't it! I love those pictures of Daxton getting very, very messy with his cake! It's everywhere! He really is such a happy, fearless, guy! What a neat post.
